C: Connection + Applied Communication

This introductory Applied Communication course explores how children communicate their experiences through movement, expression, behaviour, relationships and language. Drawing on developmental psychology, communication science and contemporary research, you’ll discover that communication begins long before words, why every child communicates differently, and how understanding communication requires us to consider the interaction between two nervous systems rather than focusing on the child alone.

By the end of the course, you’ll have a stronger understanding of the many ways children express their inner world and be equipped to recognise behaviour, body language and communication differences as meaningful attempts to connect rather than simply challenges to overcome.

This course builds on the foundations of Applied Neuroscience, Applied Attachment, Applied Sensory Processing and Applied Emotion and prepares you to apply communication-informed principles through the BOUNCE Approach®.
